Tardigrada
Register Contributors
In order to
acknowledge the people who submit tardigrade data to the Register and
their time and work donated for the benefit of the global community of
tardigradologists, we list them in this section. Under the name of each
contributor there is a list of specific contributions to the TR they
made.
Anyone willing to
share their tardigrade data can be a contributor. In other words, contributors are not necessarily authors of the original species
descriptions. For example, a Contributor can be also someone who has
access to the type material. This is especially valuable regarding
species described decades ago, when standards of taxonomic descriptions
were very different from the modern ones (i.e. they didn't contain
photographs and/or all currently used measurements). We hope that digitising type
series and storing taxonomic data in the TR will help to increase
the quality of modern and future tardigrade taxonomy. Thus, please don't
keep the data to yourself, share them with the World and make a
difference!
